The Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra invites your support for its traditional (7th Annual) Oktoberfest event: “SeptOberfest 2009” to be held Friday, September 25th at 6:00 p.m. inside the convention center of the MontBleu Resort Casino at Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The primary emphasis of the Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra is on assisting “At Risk” children in the Lake Tahoe area through such projects as providing pre-paid credit cards to children whose homes burned in the 2007 Angora fire to help them replace their personal sports equipment and other lost items, providing bus tokens to Tahoe Youth & Family Services for their youth clients who need bus transportation to and from their facilities to obtain the counseling and other services they provide, financial support for The Sports Connection, a program founded locally which helps individual economically disadvantaged children financially and through mentoring to be able to participate in group sports (baseball, soccer, and many other sports) as well as artistic endeavors (dance classes, etc.) according to their interests, financial support of the Kiwanis Family House near UC-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, and many other projects.
SeptOberfest 2009 is a sit-down event for about 300 people; the price of admission includes traditional German food, a beer garden with German and American beers, wine tasting, mellow music by Cami Thompson, dancing, and other activities

All terms, conditions, explanations and information are intended to be supplemental and complimentary to each other. They are incorporated by reference into this page, and collectively they govern this auction. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency among terms, conditions, explanations or information in the Buy section, the individual listing pages for assets and/or this page, the individual listing pages shall control this page and the Buy section, and this page shall control the Buy section. By registering to bid live and/or on the Internet, you agree to abide by all terms and conditions and you acknowledge receipt of all explanations and information made available by Purple Wave.
Deadlines and close of Internet bidding
Internet bidding closes 1 1/2 hour before the auction begins. Internet listing will be complete by 10 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Full payment for Internet purchases must be paid for and picked up no later than 3 p.m. Wednesday September 30, 2009. Winning internet bidders' items will be transported to our facility located at 5853 S Carson St. Carson City, NV for pick up.

A 10% buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids, resulting in the total purchase price. Your Internet bids are a contract and you are responsible for honoring them.
Fees and charges for failing to timely remove or pay for items won
If the winning bidder's credit card information is on file with Purple Wave, that card will be charged for the total purchase price plus one $30 late payment fee if payment is not otherwise timely made. If no credit card information is on file or if the information is insufficient or outdated, a $30 late payment fee will be assessed for each partial or full day beyond the payment deadline for which payment is not made. If items are not removed within two business days of the auction, a $10.00 handling and storage fee will be assessed per auction lot, per day. Storage fees will be charged on the Wednesday following the sale. If an item is not removed within fourteen (14) days after the auction, the item will be considered abandoned property, with all of the buyer's rights and interests in the property extinguished. Purple Wave and/or the seller reserve the right to pursue all legal remedies.
Payment information
All payments must be made to a Purple Wave location. Buyers who win via an Internet bid must pay for their purchased items by the end of business on the second business day after the auction. Every day except Sunday is considered a business day. Business hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and all other days by appointment. Cash and wire transfers (wire instructions) in any amount will be accepted. Checks up to $10,000.00 will be accepted without a bank guaranty letter. Checks of $10,000.00 or greater will be accepted only with a bank guaranty letter (letter requirements) or with prior approval from Purple Wave's credit department. MasterCard or Visa will be accepted only for charges up to $2,000.00, and only after email authorization or in-person signatures are obtained from the cardholder. Purple Wave reserves the right to hold assets and/or certificates of title until funds availability is confirmed.
Qualifying bids and bidders
By registering to bid in this auction, you authorize Purple Wave to verify your qualification to bid. Verification may include placing a hold on your credit card, obtaining credit or bank references from third parties, obtaining deposits of any amount and/or obtaining bank guaranty letters. Purple Wave may take any or all of these measures at any point prior to or after your first bid and at any point during the auction. Purple Wave reserves the right to strike any Internet bid if the bidder refuses or fails to timely cooperate with Purple Wave's efforts to verify the bidder's qualification to bid. By registering to bid in this auction, you authorize all credit references, banks and credit reporting agencies to provide complete information about your credit to Purple Wave.
Item removal requirement
After having paid, merchandise must be removed in accordance with the removal terms listed for each item location above. Merchandise located in the Purple Wave facility must be removed within two business days of the auction. Every day except Sunday is considered a business day. A paid receipt must be presented to remove items from the premises. Buyers who incur storage fees as a result of late pickup must present a paid receipt for the total invoice price and all storage fees before removing items from the premises.

Shipping is available on items in this auction, unless otherwise noted. For buyers interested in merchandise too heavy or too large for traditional shipping, or for buyers located outside the continental US, special contingencies must be arranged with us before placing bids.
