Alan joined Purple Wave in May ’07. He books and coordinates agricultural, industrial, intellectual property and aircraft auctions and represents and promotes auction services at conventions and expos across the country.
Prior to working for Purple Wave, Alan worked for major agricultural companies including John Deere, Claas and Caterpillar. He has been involved with the launch of many companies including Agri-Technology, Claas Caterpillar Omaha and Machinery Link.
Alan is a member of several associations including National Auctioneers Association, Kansas Auctioneers Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, Experimental Aircraft Association and the U.S. Custom Harvesters Association. In 1995, Alan was named Who’s Who of American Inventors and, in 2000, won the Ag Engineering Top 50 Award.
Alan attended Dodge City Community College and completed his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degree at Kansas State University. While living in Indiana, Alan also took graduate studies courses at Purdue University. Alan graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering in April ’08 and was valedictorian of class 213.
Alan has been a pilot for more than 30 years and has flying and work experience in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and Australia.
