Alvin has been a real estate broker and auctioneer for more than 30 years. He began full time with Purple Wave in February 2008.
Alvin holds real estate licenses in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Oklahoma. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Kansas Auctioneers Association, Texas Auctioneers Association, National Association of REALTORS®, Kansas Association of REALTORS® and Oklahoma Association of REALTORS®.
He is also a member of the America Academy of Real Estate, Graudate REALTOR® Institute and the ’08 OAR Leadership class. He has served on the public relations committee for the NAA for three years and has been the president-elect of Western Oklahoma Board of REALTORS®.
He holds Certified Auctioneers Institute, Certified Estate Specialist and REALTOR® designations. He also holds an honorary American farmer degree and honorary state farmer degree.
Alvin grew up farming and ranching in west-central Oklahoma and has been involved in agriculture his entire life. He and his wife have two sons and six grandchildren.
Alvin is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla. He holds a bachelor’s of Science degree in general agriculture, masters of Science degree in natural science with an emphasis on entomology and doctorate of education degree in agriculture education. While in college, he built the largest student organization, Southwestern Company, Nashville, Tenn. He also served in the military as a surgical technician for two years.
Alvin has traveled to more than 31 countries observing agricultural practices, product, processing, public schools and institutions of higher education, auction houses and auction schools. Alvin enjoys talking with, working with and helping people around the globe.
