History of the land
In 1893 the land was settled by Isaac Milliken. Isaac's son Clyde Milliken was the second generation to live and farm the original homestead. Clyde deeded his wife Stella's half-interest of the land to their daughter Neta at the time that Stella passed. Neta and her husband Virgil Wilson farmed the property with Clyde. In 1954, Virgil and Neta's oldest son, Dean, and his bride, Elaine Wilson, began farming the property. Dean and Elaine worked the ground and raised their family on the original homestead and are responsible for the great condition in which the property can be found today. Dean was the fourth generation to farm the property.
