Event qualification
Due to regulations that govern the ARAPAC, bidder participation in this auction is limited to ARA members with the "Leader of Industry" designation.
ARA member, Leader of Industry
If you are an ARA member and have the "Leader of Industry" designation and would like to bid in this auction you will need to be a registered bidder with Purple Wave and then fill out the ARA bidder registration form. Your bidding authorization will be emailed to you through your email address on file with Purple Wave as soon as it is processed.
ARA member, not a Leader of Industry
If you an ARA member but do not have the "Leader of Industry" designation you will need to be approved to bid through the ARA for this auction.
If the ARA approves you to bid in this auction you authorize the ARA to add a $15.00 fee to your invoice if you are the winning bidder. Once the fee is paid it denotes your individual membership status as a "Leader of Industry" and enables you to participate in ARAPAC activities, such as the ARAPAC auction, without obligation. This is a special membership class and effective for one year. Due to Federal Election Commission Regulations, all conference participants must acknowledge voluntary participation for ARAPAC Special Events.
If you would like to bid in this auction you will need to be a registered bidder with Purple Wave and then fill out the ARA bidder registration form. Once the form is submitted the ARAPAC staff will determine if you are qualified to bid in the auction. You will be notified of the ARA's decision through your email address on file with Purple Wave.
ARAPAC funds
Funds received from the hammer price of the sale of the auction items will be made directly to the ARAPAC and not Purple Wave. Funds received from the 10% buyers premium and event qualification fee will be made to the ARA. ARAPAC funds are used to aid candidates for congress who help advance the AG Retailers legislative and regulatory mission on Capitol Hill. By participating in the auction you will help ARAPAC continue its important work for another year.

Deadlines and close of Internet bidding
The ARAPAC auction will consist of items that will sell strictly to the highest Internet bidders as well as items selling at the live auction with pre-auction bids from the Internet. The item description will state whether the item is selling "Internet only" or at the "Live auction". Internet bidding for all items will begin to close on Wednesday, December 1, at 6 p.m. PST. The highest bidder for the Internet only items will be declared the winner at that time. The high bid at that time for the live auction items will be used as an absentee bid for the live auction, which will begin at 8 p.m PST.
Your Internet bids are a binding offer to purchase, and you are responsible for honoring that offer as required by applicable law. By placing Internet bids prior to a live auction event, you authorize Purple Wave, Inc., or its affiliate to implement your bids at the live event. The live auction will be at the ARA Annual Dinner and Auction on Wednesday, December 1, at 8 p.m. PST.
Internet bidding
For the Internet only portion of this auction, which means the highest bid on the Internet when the bidding closes on a particular item will be the winning bid for that item. Bidding for all items will begin to close one item per minute at 4:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, December 2. The items will close in the order listed on the website. This auction will feature our automatic extension system which will grant a five (5) minute extension to the end of the auction of any item receiving a bid during the last five (5) minutes. The item will then close when five (5) minutes have elapsed without any bidding activity. Unless otherwise noted, items in this auction are selling without reserve, and all Internet bids are treated as if they were given at a live auction. All bidders will be held accountable for their Internet bids.
Inspection prior to bidding
All items, unless stated otherwise, are sold "as is, where is" . Bidders are responsible for assessing item condition prior to placing a bid. We strongly recommend personal inspection of items prior to bidding. Purchaser buys entirely on his own examination. It is the responsibility of the buyer to conduct any inspection and examination necessary to satisfy him of all material facts before placing a bid.
All sales are final. No refunds given. Credit card transactions may not be reversed.
Sales taxes
Sales tax will not be collected on this auction.
Buyer's premium
A 10% buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids, resulting in the total purchase price. Your Internet bids are a contract and you are responsible for honoring them. Purple Wave will be donating the 10% buyer’s premium back to the ARAPAC.
